Kids had only just gone back to school after a really really long year-end break. Being the rather laid back parents that we are; okay maybe “lazy” is the better description, we had only left it to the kids to entertain themselves with repeated playing of their favourite DVD’s. One in particular this season was/is Ice Age [...] Last night was Caitlin’s real experience of Halloween; well, for this Daddee too, actually. Last year’s Halloween in particular (because I can’t remember if 2007’s Halloween left any impression on this then-just under 4 years old), the kids in our building came around all dressed and made up. Caitlin was more than just a little [...] For the end of Ramadhan month here in Malaysia, we had a really long weekend off work. Caitlin’s school, in fact, had the whole week off (they had a couple of Saturdays of school to make up for closing the whole week). It was also Hot Mummee’s birthday on the 21st Also, Yee yee [...] Yup- it’s already going to be Friday already tomorrow. Took today and Friday off from work, just to “do stuff” with Caitlin. All week so far she’s been holed up in the apartment with Hot Mummee working from home, and really working. Poor kids haven’t been outdoors at all for some 72 hours or so earlier [...] I was showing Caleb some of the videos I have taken; he does seem to like watching them too, and I kinda condone it ‘cos I remind him of who everyone is especially the relatives. Showed him the tongue action of his jie-jie He immediately copied what he saw! And by the way, having the radio going all [...] Woken by the kids, got them some morning snacks, and since it wasn’t too sunny and hot…. Luckily for everyone, Caleb actually likes to push from behind. But it won’t be long though, before he’d be wanting to ride. Yes, they were still in their jammies. It’s Sunday okay- give us parents a break! Evening came and it [...] Caitlin said something the other night and we shared a good laugh. I mean a good laugh, you know the type that makes you laugh heartily, not the I am only entertaining or humoring you laugh. It was in the evening, after dinner but before bedtime- I can still see it in my head. I was seated [...] Grandma helps with our shopping sometimes, since she has the opportunity as well as one who keeps an eye out for bargains and specials from the big retailers. Last night there were 3 packs of diapers recently purchased (with one for us to bring home the remaining stays at grandma’s). The kids, getting bored waiting [...] At one stage I did want to try sporting a crew cut. Call it chicken, call it because-my-hair-is-thinning. It’s because the shape of my head will only make me look (more) silly. But my son sports it well- the second time proves it wasn’t a fluke Sigh… Yes- That is drool on his chin… Caleb: buh-bye; Grr-grr- “go-go” is what is uttered whenever we are ready to go out. Now he’s the one telling us we should go out. Ma’am-mee (nope, still not calling Daddee); circa and dar (”circle” and “star”, when Daddee was doodling with him); tonne-ner whenever we enter a tunnel, or even under overhead [...] How did I spend it? Father’s Day isn’t really a big thing in my own family, but it is a little bigger in Hot Mummee’s (not a major thing, just bigger than mine). Since we usually spend our weekends at my parents’ place (my kids rarely get to see them during the week), today we had dinner [...] You can just hear the moans from all the kids around Malaysia this Monday morning, Caitlin’s included. I had taken June 8, 9, and 10 off to do something with her, those days (already) being the 2nd week of her 2-week school break. Due to some urgency of needing to quickly setup some stock trading accounts, [...] “Back in the day” when I was single and first started out having my own (bachelor’s) pad, I went and got myself a beanbag- a double seater beanbag, for bringing dates home, cook them dinner, maybe get them to watch a DVD with me on this beanbag hoping to lead somewhere *wink* Somehow [...] I don’t think she saw this from any of the few episodes of kiddie shows I download as podcasts. Indeed I haven’t been seeking or downloading many lately; and neither has Caitlin been watching a lot either, even of the old episodes from before. But one fine weekend day recently… She decided to get kakak to make [...] For those who found this page thinking I have some clever tip on how to stop my baby(ies) from waking at nights, you kinda found the right place. I say kinda because Caitlin, our first one, more or less “just decided” to sleep through the night when she was probably around 4 months old. Yes she [...] “Caleb, Caleb…. 1.. “taaaaaaannnnnnn!” Caitlin likes to go shopping. Make the slightest inkling that we are going shopping and her adrenalin gets pumping. Typical female I guess. But at least for now she is not keen on checking out shoes…. However, I gotta be fair. I do like to go check out gadget shops too. When we passed the Machines store [...] |
