Currently it's Bee Movie. She won't have it any other way. Not Playhouse Disney channel (with a myriad of shows like Bananas in Pj's, Thomas and Friends, Pocoyo), not past faves like Bear in the Big Blue House or Little Einsteins on VCD's.
Anytime we walk through the door, it's ...

So today, May 1st, is Labour Day. Caitlin felt like "going shopping." So, we impromptu-ly agreed.
Not that she needed to buy anything; to her shopping is akin to walking around in a shopping centre or a supermarket. Admittedly since starting school she has not had much chance in doing the ...

This is a semi serious issue. One that needs to be nipped in the bud, but that wasn't!

It's not a bad thing. It's actually something good. And it's another you-had-to-be-there moment...
We are on the road home. Caitlin is strapped in her seat at the back, watching the world go by. Okay, just watching the traffic go by...

Daddee: ba si (don't know ...

"..Suicidal, suicidal..."
Good lord what is she singing??
I would much rather she sing the earlier few verses, You're way too beeeaaaaauuuutiful girl...
I thought she should know what she was singing, but of course at age 3 she may still be struggling with the concept of death, much less the idea ...

'Tis the season for it. But it was even more so this morning- Mummee and Caleb are home!
From the airport, Mummee and Caleb headed for Mummee's parents', where she will continue her confinement and recuperation. Last night, I offered Caitlin a choice of where she would like to sleep the ...

I was told that during the weeks that I was away Caitlin was quite well behaved.
She would greet her elders (my parents, siblings) in the mornings, sit quietly and eat on her own during meals- just generally being a happy kid (sans the occasional "I want my Daddee" breakdowns).
Since coming ...

That was one of Caitlin's exclamations on why I was away this long. "Why no ticket??" was her reaction when a response was offered.
To me, when I got home from the airport so late the previous night and seeing her already asleep, I recall thinking then that she seemed so ...

Ann over at Autopsy of Ann has experienced it recently, when she started dropping her bubs off at child care before work.
You guys would know that Caitlin and I are very close, and that I recently have had to be in Sydney for a few weeks, away from her.
I don't ...

To Caitlin, I must be the most broke daddy around.
She is more observant now: She watches tv, she "reads" the newspapers' slip-in brochures, she flips through the mailbox-catalogs, she sees the shelves in the toy sections of departmental stores, she tries out the display units in the stores....
In short, she ...
