hai....i a mom to a 9 mths 2 weeks baby boy...this is my 1st child...this what precisely same situation that i face now...me & my husband was so worried that we didn't sleep thru 3 nights on a row just because of taking care of our lil baby boy..

I woke up in a fine morning, as usual i would kiss & TLC my baby..when i touch his forehead, it burns, the neck & the ample also super hot..not knowing whats going on..we immediately gone to see a child & baby specialist which cost me almost rm200....

When the nurse check his temperature, they immediately ask me to go to another room & ask me to strip my baby off so they wrap him with this towels around him..i was so sad, almost cry thou...they put a panadol in his anus, they said it will help to reduce the fever..my baby temperature was then shoot to almost 38....

The doc said it might be these 3 sickness...

1. common flu/sore throat
2.measles
3.lungs problem!! OMG

So they take my baby urine sample & promise to call me back after the result....so a few hours they did called me & turn to be negative in everything...so it was a relieve...

BUT......

Atfer all that, my baby boy had 3 days on & off high fever, the doc prescribe me this orange Nurofen, uphamol 120 & zithromax antibiotic. we followed everything, feed my baby the right amount & the time. I even bought a standby panadol to put in his anus if the bad fever is ever occurs again...i bought myself a thermometer just to check his temperature then do the towel wrapping our own.

After 3 days...i notice that my baby high fever was gone & he was active & laughing, talking & etc...but then what bother me the most is, i notice this small dots like rashes *ruam merah* all over his face but none seen in his body yet...sooooooo if anybody kind enough sharing a good thoughts or maybe a tips with me, i would really appreciate it...

so my big question is, is this normal?

Big Thanks

concern mother....GBU everyone

My little boy had roseola when he was around a year old. When I called the pediatrician's office the day he developed the rash I didn't even get through my sentence describing the fever for 3 days then the rash 3 days later before the nurse said, "Roseola!" So it's pretty common, and apparently not really a big deal. Did you know it's a form of the herpes virus? At least it's one of those things they (should) only get once!
