Just like the Daddee, my two kids seem to “attract” mosquitoes, as compared to Hot Mummee (and her family members). While she always says it’s because I “smell” (and effectively her own kids too- good one Mummee!) I say it’s because we are sweeter on the inside!
Anyway, Caitlin’s seen Daddee clap-smack mozzies whenever I see them. That’s apparently how one (adults) catches mozzies, it seems.
So this (Sunday) morning, when Caitlin came in to wake Daddee up with her often homemade handicraft- this time being a “surprise” board game that she’s developed (from the pile of A4 scrap from the office; she’s drawn lines on it and cut up another into shapes of whatevers), she saw one flying around within her reach.
Clap-smacking like she does when she emulates Daddee, she thought it was funny. Looking and inspecting her right palm, she notices a faint black marking. “Daddee what’s this?”
Already knowing the answer, I asked her to check her left hand. At first there was nothing, then she looked again and saw the dead mozzie between her fingers!
It’s actually quite funny to watch a 4 year old being freaked out! “EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!” She was a mix of being all icky, freaked, funny 
Having a lifelong hatred for mozzies myself, I kinda praised her for her good aim 
Ooohhhh….poor Caleb!
But Caitlin’s expression was classic! hahaha…..
Maybe some organic/herbal mossie repellent might come into handy.

Poor baby!!! Look at all the sting bumps… looks potent! Darn the blood-suckers! I would smack them hard myself too. Make sure you apply aloe vera to soothe the skin. And how about investing in a non-smelly repellant… like the elctric ones in the bedroom? Turn it on half hour behnd closed door before sleeping.
Try it out instead of waking looking like you had enlarged pimples!
Yeah Grandma’s bought one of those blue-light CO2 lamp-like thingies…
Hope that will reduce the number of mozzies around the house…
Yeah, since installing window insect nettings things have “improved” in that there are a lot fewer mozzies around.
I forgot to add that after realising what it was, Caitlin then ran into the toilet sink to wash the yuck off as quickly as possible!
The bites on Caleb are generally from Grandma’s!
My kids see my smacking the air in frienzy sometimes too, and also have become accustomed my suddenly “smacking” them and hear me say, “a mosquito.”
Micah caught one once too, and til now, though there was no other repeats, he recalls that and always says he did a good job at that. Hahaha…
