I think I have said enough to Teacher Rachel; she promised that she would say something to Teacher Ann that morning, and I believe she did, because I asked Caitlin after that (Friday) schoolday and she was okay with the whole thing: no loudness from Teacher Ann, no one got scolded.

I even think I have said too much- that I could be interfering.

Interfering in that these are teachers who have been at this profession probably longer than Caitlin's been around.

Also, interfering in that Caitlin herself needs to learn how to handle stressful situations, be it "difficult" people as well as, in this case, difficult schoolwork; which I believe is what may have led to Teacher Ann's scolding- that her and another 2 kids got it from Teacher Ann because they didn't know their school work (lizard and library)

The only thing I think I need to monitor is her catching up with Pre-3. As you would recall she skipped Pre-2 to be in a Chinese medium class, with everything being Pre-3 standard. If there is anything I need to talk to Teacher Rachel about, is to remind her to remind Teacher Ann that Caitlin never did Pre-2.

I hope something is done about it....

They say if you can't change the person, change yourself...sigh....hope your little princess don't need to learn that 'lesson' this early in life!

It is so hard in itself to make a child LOVE studying....

So? What is the verdict? Is Teacher Rachel going to address this with Teacher Ann? This could be serious. Are other kids afraid or getting negative vibes as well from Teacher Ann or is it just Caitlin being sensitive? She is probably just used to Teacher Ng... who appears very friendly, warm and accepting.

How about addressing this issue on the communication book between parent and teacher? Pose the question of Caitlin's hesitant to go to school directly to Teacher Ann and see what is her respond. Keep yeye posted!
