I enjoyed reading all your comments as this is an interesting topic.It is good to keep the kids alert I agree as parents you can’t be with them 24/7. This is irregardless of gender as can’t be too sure nowadays. As parents, your kids will always be priority.

Also, this is already the age that they need to be told to tell if someone touches them inappropriately.

I haven’t thought about how to broach this yet. I know my sister in law has done that with- hey, the very same niece; when she was a youngling….

I have, however, already taught Caitlin to scream and kick non-stop should anyone she doesn’t know grab her, in public places. It’s been a while- I gotta remind her again.

Observation of a girl is what ’surroundings’ do best!

But boys now a days have to beware too.
And boys do have their share of looks and giggles.

Yes, good noting.

I think we do treat boys and girls rather differently.

Today, max accidentally wet his pants in the toilet at a coffee and insisted he take his pants off. So for maybe 5 minutes, while my sis went back to the car to get his spare clothes, he sat bottomless on my lap, happily eating noodles despite everything else.

If he had been a girl, I would have insisted that she be brought to the car to change.

Bias, I know…
