Favourites of the moment

May 21st, 2008 · 7 Comments · A toddler's POV, Caitlin the heiress, Food & feeding, Parenting musing, Photo opp

Currently it’s Bee Movie. She won’t have it any other way. Not Playhouse Disney channel (with a myriad of shows like Bananas in Pj’s, Thomas and Friends, Pocoyo), not past faves like Bear in the Big Blue House or Little Einsteins on VCD’s.

Anytime we walk through the door, it’s Bee Movie. Wanna watch what’s on tv now? No, I want Bee Movie.

Granted it’s the latest kids show I bought her; only recently superceding the classics like Bambi and Cinderella (whereby I had a hard time explaining the evils of society, how people can ill-treat others and animals alike).

Luckily her fave food is, well, food. She does eat her greens generally, her fave is broccoli. We try to get her to eat other greens too like choy-sum and other spinach species. It’s not until after some coaxing that it will help her bowel movements that she will quite happily eat! Gotta start them young on the habits and benefits of fibre, you know. I also explained to her that green leafy veggies will help her body make more blood, especially now that she is still growing, and will need more blood to fill up. That quickly got her gobbling up whatever greens on her plate…. Honestly!

What about Caleb’s favourites, you ask?
Clucking your tongue at him gets him into a silent giggling fit!

The path to the Dinosaur boat ride at Genting

This was taken at the recent funday at Genting Highlands. This is the path to the dinosaur waterboat ride, which was also another ride that was somewhat scary for Caitlin. The boat, carrying up to 12 people, drifts into a dark shed where there are robotic dinosaurs which roar; too loud for Caitlin’s liking.

Ooo…nice shot of Hot Mummee and Caitlin. :)

Micah loves the bee movie too, which was how we got to the how honey’s made in one of my post, but he only wants to watch the last bit, the one on the plane. He loves happy endings, he loves the song, but all the stress in between is really too stressful for his sensitive heart.

Yeah Caitlin sings along to that song too; I guess it’s also cos of the happy ending and it’s the accompanying upbeat tune.

    “Revealing time”?

If you mean I am starting to show photos of identifiable faces, then I guess so! But it’s mainly ‘cos I don’t have anything else to show!

    :D

Caitlin is just like her Mommy. Very much a cartoon lover!!! I enjoy cartoons tremendously. Watch out for the next one Kung Fu Panda voiced over by Jack Black. I believe it will start on June 6. Take a day off and watch the movie at the cinema with Caitlin. It will be a great experience for her and an activity for both of you.

Caitlin is a problem free child when it comes to food. I remember taking her out one time and she enjoyed her greeens. She just enjoys foods and she is not really choosy. You are so blessed!!!

Bring the 3 yr old to the cinemas? I don’t think so!

Like her Mummee, she (will) talks in the cinema!

Daddee, what is that? What did he say? Why like that? Daddee I am SCARED!”

Either that or she will get bored and wanna get out, toilet, more munchies,..
