Well, first of all, Dr Pixie did advise that babies under 6 months should remain at home as much as possible. Something about reducing their exposure to whatever may be in the air when they go out..

I am sure there will be future opportunities to meet the little man ;)

Aww.. Ok. Guess it's safer for him, but I shall miss seeing your little cutie. It would obviously be most inappropriate for a little one to be hassled through party with 10 adults and 8 kids!! (Yeah, that's the total of our party...)

Haha! Thanks, ladies!

I, too, know all about waking a cranky kid when it isn't time to wake up yet! These are when I get back from the office to find her still sleeping since the afternoon. If she had started her nap late (ie still insufficient), we ALL gotta prepare for Ms Crankiness' onslaught!

Regarding the upcoming gathering; you are right- Caleb won't be joining everyone. We just have to decide which "prison" he will be in during that time- my inlaws' or my parents'.

Oh, I so know this bad nap times. There are days Micah would not want to nap but play until he's exhausted and falls asleep like at 5pm and wakes up about 7pm. Then he will go to be at 12+am and the next day he will be up like 9am. There's no way if I need to, to wake him any earlier without him throwing a tantrum in bed, half asleep.

Maybe, if there is a way, try not napping for a day and see how she does with her sleep time. Occasionally I let Micah skip a nap and he falls asleep about 8pm. If it goes well, he will sleep till next morning. But it has happened that he will have bad dreams (maybe too tired) but otherwise ok.
