In Melbourne, we crashed at a friend's place.

Which, strangely enough, a neighbour was either ignorantly generous or blissfully aware that their wifi connection was not secured. So guess what this leech was up to? Actually, it was under advisement of our friend! For his net connection was thus dedicated to his XBox!

And, to my pleasant surprise, I was getting something like 54Mbps-ish speeds on this freebie connection.

In a land where service levels is around 11Mbps, the speeds I was getting in Melb was very much nothing-to-complain-about!

Jlow - you are going to hate Australia's low speed low grade internet services. Everyone from overseas who comes here can't believe just how bad it is for a supposedly developed country! I would add an old wives tale, but for the life of me I can't think of any at the moment. But I will say that the majority have always seemed to have some grain of truth to them - probably why they last the test of time.
